The park reopened in a big way Tuesday as Universal and Legendary pulled out all the stops for the premiere of “Jurassic World” at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

The Babylonian arch at the Hollywood and Highland complex was covered to make it look like the famous entrance of the dino theme park. Stars Chris Pratt (with wife Anna Faris), Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio and director Colin Trevorrow were greeted in the courtyard by fans on all levels of the shopping mall above screaming their appreciation.

At the lavish after-party at the Dolby ballroom, Pratt took the stage with Jimmy Buffett to sing “Margaritaville.” “You know the words,” Pratt exhorted the crowd. Buffett played a set for the crowd with producer Frank Marshall backing on guitar.

Howard said at the party that she was skeptical when she first considered a part in the film, but that all changed after meeting with Trevorrow.

“I went from nervousness to unabashed enthusiasm to be a part of this movie after talking with him,” Howard said.

She also added that while she and Pratt had great chemistry during filming, it was the bond she shared with a choice of footwear that came as a surprise.

“I think my dad is going to be more scared that I ran around the entire film in high heels than any dinosaur chasing after me,” she said. “At the beginning I was kind of against the idea of wearing them, but then one day while looking at the terrain prior to a shoot, I just looked at Colin and said, ‘I think I’ll keep the shoes on.'”

Also in attendance were Universal’s Jeff Shell, Ron Meyer, Donna Langley, Jimmy Horowitz and Peter Cramer, Legendary’s Thomas Tull, pic’s Ty Simpkins, Peter Fonda, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello.

Success: A Jurassic World sequel has been scheduled for release on June 22 2018

Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow will co-write the new film with Derek Connolly.

This week, Jurassic World - which opened on June 12 - became the third-highest grossing movie of all time, behind only Avatar and Titanic and passing Marvel’s The Avengers.

It has still yet to open in Japan where it debuts on August 5.

Last month, Universal domestic distribution president Nicholas Carpou said the phenomenal success of Jurassic World was due to strong repeat business with audiences going back to see the movie once or even twice more as well as movie-goers still going to see it for the first time.

The film is set 22 years after the original Jurassic Park story, and the story returns to Isla Nublar where the dinosaurs have finally become part of a fully functioning theme park.

Unfortunately, a desire to up ticket sales led to a genetically engineered super dinosaur, Indominus Rex, bringing havoc once again to the island.

Chris plays Owen Grady, who works training Velociraptors.

The 36-year-old made headlines recently after he jokingly predicted that he would star in the Jurassic Park franchise way back in 2010.

The father-of-one eerily peered into the future during a behind-the-scenes extra for the DVD of the second season of NBC's Parks And Recreation.

'Hi. My name is Chris Pratt and I'll be shooting footage behind the scenes for Parks And Recreation,' Pratt said while holding a small camera to record himself.

The actor's phone then buzzed as he explained he got a text from Steven Spielberg

'God, so annoying, I'll have to get back to you later about Jurassic Park four. Boom!,' Chris said with a sly grin for the camera.
